| Farway | |
|
Farway is approximately 500ft above sea level and is the source of the River Coly. Views from the approach are fantastic, looking toward Portland bill lighthouse and down through the Coly valley to Colyton.
Inhabited by just 250 people with 45 pupils attending the local school it is a very sleep village but there is always some activity going on behind the scenes.
Farway
can boast a Methodist Church and an Anglican Church, a pretty stream over the road in the centre of
village, a hamlet at the east and one at the west and picturesque
surrounding hills that will lead you down into the valley.
Farway is not far from anywhere whether it be the beaches of Sidmouth, Seaton or Branscombe or on those not so good days you can visit the antique shops of Honiton or visit the larger centres of Exeter or Taunton.
The children certainly are spoilt for choice with Crealy Adventure Park, Seaton Tramway, The Country Life Centre at Exmouth, The Countryside Park in the heart of Farway itself. Farway is a farming centre where visitors are warmly welcomed and encourage to join in the many local activities on offer.
Be certain that once you have paid a visit you will always want to return |
